Making Money - Virtue or a Sin?

I just see money as an inert object, neither good nor bad. It's an efficient medium of exchange... so I don't have to bring 10 chickens and 30 bushels of corn to gain admittance to a Stones concert.

Having wealth certainly does not make someone better than a person who is poor... but not having money certainly does not give someone moral superiority over people who do have money (no matter how much we poor people would love to believe that).

In my opinion, the Stones don't need to lower their prices if the shows are selling out. I don't think they have much control over the retail price of cds and dvds. I'm not sure about clothing and the licensing of their name and image, though I'm predicting there will be discounts on Stones merchandise when the tour ends.

From a Biblical perspective, LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Money is fine, just don't take it to bed. I must agree, it would be a hassle to bring 10 chickens and 30 bushels of corn to a show to get in!

sadly you need money to live...and if you want the nicer things in life then you need even more money...nothing wrong with money but sometimes its what people do to get money that is bad....the stones are giving the fans the bast show that they can...so the ticket price is well worth it!

Money? Re-evaluating nature using a universal? denominator.

"Well it just goes to show, things are not what they seem..."

Hey, this is today!
Mick Jagger - white nigger
Rolling Stones sing about "ten little niggers" (in "Sweet black angel")
Patti Smith "Rock'n'roll nigger"
Ice T says he's a nigger
In fact all the black ghetto guys are calling themselves niggers
There's nothing wrong with being a nigger
