Mick's voice cracking

Does anyone else love how Mick's voice cracks when he reaches for high notes on Sticky Fingers and Exile? Especially on "Sway" and "Let It Loose" (although there are plenty of examples on both albums)?

The emotion conveyed (contrived or not) is absolutely stunning...it's so much more effective than some perfect vocal technique. It just sounds like Mick NEEDS to let those emotions out, whether he can hit the notes or not. Just amazing.

I think that's why "Sway" was sorta anti-climactic when it was finally played live...Mick would never risk blowing his voice out by reaching for those notes, especially live.

Of course, that's a good thing in many ways...62-year old vocal cords need lots of care, I suppose.

At least Mick's crack isn't voicing!
