if you haven't something better to do, do something like this:
this is my list

SOME GIRLS album 9 tour 8.5
IT'S ONLY ROCK'N'ROLL album 8 tour 7.5

for those of you judging the tours and giving them '10' - are you basing on it all the shows or just the most essential bootleg(s) from that tour

"Handsome Girls", for example, might be a brilliant collection of great performances but there are several shows on that '78 tour that are bloody awful and sound like a band who have just met each other for the first time earlier that day, rather than one that had been together for over 15 years

Gazza

i gave 10 the 72' tour based on most of the audience recordings.. unfortunately all the soundboards from that tour lack some magic[they recorded all the shows where the band was a bit tired]
the HANDSOME GIRLS is the most overrated bootleg and while i try to listen and thinking why the fans go crazy over this and compare with some audience shows from the same tour i still stand by my opinion!

i know that gazza, i did mine just thinkin of the shows i listened on cds, saw on dvds, the pics i saw, the books, the articles i read.

I gave the 78 tour a 10. The first show from that tour I was at was in Philly. That is considered one of the worst shows of the tour. To me it was magic. I was close into that tour. I gave it a 10 because it was everything a US Stonestour should be. Exciting, xciting, exciting! best year of my life. I do believe a diehard fan knows how to evaluate these tours by now. From audio, video, press, word of mouth, photo, books all that stuff.
I was not around for the 76 tour e.g but have a very good idea what went good and what went badly. So I do feel pretty qulified to give it a score.

I know it's an unpopular opinion within the Stones aficionados but STICKY FINGERS and SOME GIRLS just don't move me. I wasn't young when they came out. The music on them doesn't urge me to listen to it. I don't listen to these two albums very often. In my opinion both albums are overestimated and do contain songs I really dislike ("Bitch" and "Miss you", sure skippers).

All of the mentioned albums won't get a 9 or even a 10 however.

i think tattoo you is generally a bit overrated (exept for start me up oblviusly), while it's only r'n'r and emotional rescue are better than most of the people says!
