is there some hard working people on IORR ?

or only white intellectual people spending time to analyse the great rolling stones. I'm one of those HWP. I prefer to spend money to see the precious STONES than buying cars or houses. To analyse rock'n roll is so stupid. To give lessons to Mick and Keith is so ridiculous and funny. Perhaps do you live with the same person all your life ? R'n'r indeed. good bye to those teachers who could recognize themselves.

Judging from the people i see at concerts it's a mixed group. But when i look at the die hards with all the t-shirts and stones tattoo's i would say that in that group there are more hard working people with love for the music than white intellectual people who analyse it.

Cheers,
Wuudy

"good bye to those teachers who recognize themselves"???? Sorry, I don't get it. Maybe you have too much time on your hands.

"teachers who recognize themselves" = pompous blowhards who think they know it all.

At least, that was my take on it.

You make me howl, T. One of these days I'm gonna post a thread of your funniest lines.

It would probably be a dozen pages long.

I am a lazy white intellectual who spends his time analyzing rock 'n' roll. Please visit my website at www.lazywhiteintellectual.com. It's under construction, 'cause I was too lazy to finish it.

Hmmmm ... A person can't be hard working, white, and intellectual? And a Stones fan?

The general consensus is no you can't, but only when no one is looking! Thanks for the laughs T&A and Gazza and I think unintentionally Shezeboss!

WHAT??
Perhaps if the original post had been worded, "ARE there some hard working people on IORR?", we would have understood the author's meaning. Maybe I am "OVER-ANALYZING". I know for a fact that there ARE some hard working people on IORR.

I must admit, I wonder some times how some of the people on here can spend so much time on the internet. I just assume it's because most people have office jobs where they can get access to the internet throughout the working day, either that or when they get home they sit on their computers for hours and hours.

Personally, I don't have a computer at home, and I work at a college, so I usually check out whats going on in between lectures, or when i'm working late into the evening.

Raise a glass to the hard working people!

To Shezeboss:

You are typing words to convey and communicate stuff, right? Well, that's a pretty intellectual activity if there ever was one!
And as far as actual book worms go, may I remind you that Mick Jagger himself apparently indulged quite deeply in the typically intellectual interests of poetry, literature and history, and that Keith Richards apparently reads his ass off whenever he is near a library (in fact, almost killed himself practicing this sport!). Even Brian Jones used to be a jazz music critic...
So naturally you are bound to find a few of those like-minded intellectuals around here (you included?)...
