Keith and Charlie

I hate to nitpick BUT what is the deal with Keith doing all, or most, of the intros when Charlie is supposed to start the song off? Take Honky Tonk Women, You Got Me Rocking and Love Is Strong for example. The studio versions of these songs start with Charlie's drumming (if you really wanna be picky, HTW starts off with the cowbell) but I've noticed that Keith always starts these songs off when they play them live. Just wondering why that is. Does Charlie forget the beginnings to these tunes? Is Keith being a glory hound? Does he figure that the fans won't recognize the songs without him starting them? It just seems odd imo.smiling smiley

Hmm good point. Not sure. I've never heard Love is Strong live before. Does anyone have an MP3 of it? I'd love to hear. It's such a good song.

Actually Chuck typically counts in the songs.

I'm fine with Keith leading though...he should be the band leader, after all.

I'm sure they have played the songs that way before putting them on record.
