Can someone explain to me why... (gimme shelter 69)

...in the movie during Street Fighting Man at MSG (before the Altamont bit), that Keith wears his "red" top during the whole song, then right near the end of the song "we gotta go, we gotta go..." he changes to the "blue" top...i.e. from MSG 2nd show to MSG 1st show ??? why?? it is for 10 seconds....i guess it's further proof of Stones perfection. still bizarre as it's no benefit unless film ran out ??

>>unless film ran out ??<<

there I guess you answered your own question.
other wise it would be a goofy edit and doesn't make sense.

ok - perhaps you are right ! strange anyway...

anyway, I also see a guy in the front 10 rows at MSG also at Altamont....funny.

also, does anyone also believe that the Flying Burrito bros song - six days on the road played at Altamont on the Gimme shelter movie, is a simple dub from the studio version? i think it is...it certainly isn't the actual "live" version!

wow -- interesting! I am looking forward to what others may say. I have nothing to add, but wonder who the guy in both audiences is/was?

More probably it was the stage lighting doing this. I've seen that occur more times than I can count.

There's a lot of horrible edits in Gimme Shelter. On JJF or Satisfaction Keith goes from his clear guitar (Ampeg I think) to a black Gibson and back.... Mick has scarves then he doesn't than he does - sometimes red, sometimes pink..... crazy stuff, that editing...Still a GREAT FILM !!!
