I listened to UnderCover last night and I think the guitars sound more alive
same with Dirty Work then the guitars on ABB.I think ABB is a great record dont
get me wrong.

I read the stones should play too tough live but it sounds to much like satisfaction, maybe they could switch the solos and use keiths solo from satisfaction on too tough and woody's solo from too tough on satisfaction.
LOL,.

Pretty Beat Up has keith's groove he recyles and reinvents from soul souvier,
IM going down, rock and a hard place and wicked as they seem.

Its hard not to think of other stone riffs and grooves as you listen to their
body of work.

Listen to the intro on Under my Thumb - Keith could of got that feel for the
ascending and desending splash of opening notes for GS from Under My Thumb just
a thought.

Couldn't agree with you more Open G. A Bigger Bang is a more professional sounding album and arguably more consistent but the Stones no longer have the vitality they had in the days of Undercover and Dirty Work - this is the reason i'm reluctant in saying A Bigger Bang is better than them.
Even though maybe the songs are less sketchy and more fully realised on A Bigger Bang there is also less guitar interplay and vitality which to me was always the Stones biggest asset.
I'm more prone to compare A Bigger Bang with Steel Wheels, Voodoo Lounge and Bridges To Babylon than any of the earlier albums and i'm pleased to say it comes out on top in my opinion.

Why analize and compare, just listen and enjoy. Its not rocket science.
