Oasis - Don't Believe The Truth - Peak #12 - Total Sales: 160,000 (Aug. 2005)
Radiohead - Hail To The Thief - Peak: #3 - Total Sales: 560,000 (Nov. 2004), Pearl Jam - Riot Act - Peak: #5 - Total Sales: 440,000 (Dec. 2004)
Pearl Jam - Rearviewmirror: Greatest Hits 1991-2003 - Peak: #16 - Total sales: 400,000 (April 2005)
Madonna - American Life - Peak: #1 - Total Sales: 720,000 (July 2005)
M. Jackson - Invincible - Peak: #1 - Total Sales: 2.100,000 (Aug. 2005)

The Grateful Dead's late albums are small sellers, the last one "TRUCKIN' UP TO BUFFALO, JULY 4, 1989" debuted at #137 on July with 7,000 copies.

You know it's interesting that I've been wringing my hyands over the ABB sales when here we have several latest efforts by superstar artists generations younger than the RS w/ slips in sales far more dramatic than Bridges to Babylon's 1.3 mil or so (not to mention the 40Lix double that) - Only Oasis aren't seen as top stars/bands in the US.

I think what people don't understand is that not ALL stores use Soundscan, so the RIAA extrapolates from the Soundscan sales what the LP may have sold in stores without it.
Everyone that I have given 'A Bigger Bang' to (14 people) has LOVED it...and they had NO plans to buy it...so it's up to us core fans to "spread the news"!
