So. Did anyone tape the show??????

Obviously.

It was the guy in the A-section that walked in with two suitcases of taping equipment.

As soon as security realised it wasn't a bomb, they let him pass.

They did take his bottle of Pepsi though. What was he thinking anyway?

lol. anyway: how was security? Maybe that should be asked first, to see what kind of boot we can expect.

Ho boy! If you where in Toronto
and had that, I'd say come over
here quick and I'd do it for you!
Don't you know somebody with
a computer or HHB burner?

Re: Fenway Boots

I'll be working on it but,I have tons of other stuff going on right now.I'll definitely share it once I get it on cds. From what I can tell,it sounds pretty decent - audience noise but, mostly in between songs. The instructions with the recorder say I need a Pentium 2 or higher & 512 mb of free memory.

I'm gonna try to tape tonight's show. I'm not sure I want to risk the $400+ I dropped on tickets, but I have my equipment with me here at work and I'm heading out from here....we shall see. I'm still on the fence about it. I heard there was no search on the way in, except for bags and purses.

They pat you down pretty well so,you have to be creative. On the other hand, check your tickets.Nowhere on my tickets for either Fenway show does it say no cameras/recorders like it does for the other shows. They can't very well deny you access or take your equipment without this warning.I don't believe.

Legally speaking not... but if you're standing there and they don't let you in, there's nothing you can do. You can sue them but that's not worth the effort and the show's already ended.

What kind of equipment is it? You can always take really small things with you.

It's a MiniDisc recorder. It's not more than 3.5"x3.0"....I have a little pouch it goes in, that can always go right in the pants, lol....

So they do pat you down? But no metal detectors?

That's because U2 permits taping (like Allmans et all)!

They used metal detectors at the Phoenix.

U2 may not mind taping
But i'll bet you can't walk right in with a recorder
Even though your tickets may not have no cameras etc.
It is on small print on the back of the tickets and a sign will be at the door saying No Cameras etc.

I'd LOVE to get my greasy hands on this show and maybe also The Phoenix in good sound.

got a call today that a local radiostation in the u.s. will play the stonesconcert back, don't know if anything of this is true but here's the summier info I got, stones, the mill JC Haze Playsback. I don't know if any of you people know the mill or JC Haze. but it would be a nice boot if this is true.

no chance

theres a new station on Sirius satellite radio running from now until end of september who will be playing the Stones EXCLUSIVELY - and they have said that after each show they'll play the STUDIO versions of each song theyve played live that night - maybe thats what your friend (mis)heard

Edit - Forget it Gazza......I decided to use my brain and go to the Sirius website to find out.....channel 99. Thanks anyway though!

maybe that's it, I didn't take the call myself, it's a u.s. friend from which I got the info. it was too good to be true anyway.

Yeah I'd bet there will be a complete live broadcast
sooner or later, but we'll have to depend
on audience tapes for awhile, or hopefully
some leaked soundboards down the road.
Seems to be the pattern. I'd settle
for a audience tape right now.......................

Wonder if Rockpassion is working on this as we speak..............?
