Legendary Cuban singer Ibrahim Ferrer died yesterday, age 78 in a Havana hospital. Just a few weeks ago he was one of the highlights at the Montreux Festival.

In the end he had a few years to be a star thanks to the movie of Wim Wenders "Buena Vista Social Club". Musician Ry Cooder saved with this movie the roots of "Son", a special Cuban music.
