never seen that band as a reference on this board. do you appreciate ? I think they always had universe of their own. Always the sun, la folie or european female are classics to my mind. Hugh Cornwell goes on solo work (internet) / such a personal voice.

Yo Sheeze, real good band. Somewhat inconsistent in my mind. Had a party tape in the 80s with "Bring on the Nubiles". Used to bring down the house!

early Stranglers is really good stuff.I love the first two records..felt they lsot there way a bit in the eighties, but they could still come up with classics..'always the sun', 'GOlden Brown'- good singles but not so good albums.They got wrongly id'd as Punk rockers really and musically they a lot more than 'punk'. They are still going (they played my town a couple years back), but I dont know who' in the band other than JJ.
