If there is to be another tour, and it would turn out to be the last one,
what do you think the odds are for Bill joining them on the road?

Only if they're planning to criss cross the globe by donkey.

As ludicrous as it is to expect a 73 year-old Bill Wyman to play bass for the Rolling Stones again, I find it equally absurd to find people here salivating at the prospect of a 67 year-old Mick Jagger strut his stuff to the likes of "She Was Hot" and "You Got Me Rocking".

But not to "As Tears Go by" .... surely ?

Buddy Guy is 73, tours around and plays guitar / sings very well - so why should it be the last tour. If the health is ok, then they can continue.
The only reason not to do so is: If it means that they will play in small venues and the Stones only want to play in big ones.

I make it a point to see Buddy in Legends every January--where he blows the doors off the joint every night for two weeks. But I also caught him recently in Toronto at Massey Hall (a year ago last April) and I was really sadly disappointed at how badly he played. It was like watching a car wreck.
Last January I went to see him back in Legends and he was as stunning as ever.
I just don't want to see that kind of inconsistency from the Stones, at any age.

wait a second, wyman was brave enough to fly to the US on one of his solo tours several years ago, so what happened to his fear then?

Agreed!!!
I thought "As Tears Go By" was magnificent at the Beacon, and it was so refreshing to here the band do such wonderful justice to this old chestnut. Great too, with such toned-down material, to hear Jagger sound like the truly magnificent vocalist that we hear so little of in live gigs these days.
And yes, I'd be as excited as anyone else on this board, IF they were to take to the road with a setlist containing some of these diverse - but brilliant - numbers from their back catalogue.
The emphasis is on the IF!!
