Please, don't be so absurd. There are hundreds of top rock albums. These stupid polls make me tired.

Hey, lighten up will you? This is totally for fun to try and anticipate what a typical 'classic rock station' would pick. We know it's totally stupid to declare any album no. 1. But that's beside the point of this thread. Let's have some fun with it. Right now about #122 is Stones 'Beggers Banquet'.

We want to see if a Stones album makes it up there. Some Girls, Let It Bleed and/or Sticky...perhaps? Where will exile rate for example? Again, totally unofficial, random perhaps, comercial perhaps, but we can try and guess?

Everyone knows these count downs are pretty silly, but what the heck. None-the-less, kind of interesting???

Mickslips - don't mind the mudstix. It's good dumb fun.
So - how many Stones albums have already been counted off?

I think Milli Vanilli will crack the top five. Not rock & roll but it should keep things interesting. Just kidding.
I'll be very surprised if Exile isn't in the top 5. Then again it depends on who is casting ballots.

Just did 'Goats Head Soup' at about 105, now is Physical Grafetti, Zeppelin about 103 or so.

This is just dumb fun. Keep you posted. We know this ISN'T the definitivie list, just typical classic rock station pics.

We're more interested in where some of the Stones albums come in, what the heck?

Just a quick update ....for what it's worth. AC/DC's Dirty Deeds just played about about #97. Very fun as they played some 'deep cuts' and totally rocked for those of us that don't own all these albums, totally rocked. Pretty neat idea to get away with just NOT playing the typical songs off each album. They do a good 4-5 off each album in a row.

Oh well. That's where we're at for anyone that cares.

Should be a hoot to hear what the top 10 are in this part of the world. We know this is 'dumb fun' so back off all of us purists.....we get it.

What shame - the Eagles, Boston and Michael Jackson mentioned on the same page as The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and AC/DC.

Skipstone...love that observation - couldn't agree more. That's the beauty of this 'dumb count down' it's provocative....

Jethro Tull now about #96....Aqualung???

Stevie Ray right now.....how Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet, Life By the Drop...this stuff is getting better all the time.

Where will our favorite band come in on this?

We think there's a stones in the top 10.....

Again, we know this is NOT the definitive list, but none-the-less, fun.

Stevie rockin' right now - album is 'Sky Is Cryin' at about #90 or so?

I've always envied the plethora of specialist stations you have in the USA. I don't think there are any rock or metal broadcast stations in the UK. Although I can get Kerrang and Q via cable.
