there are six guitars on iorr right.my question is that keith said he erased all of the guitars done at woody's house but kept woody's 12 string acoustic.
does that mean keith overdubbed the other 5 guitars.
guitar 1 acoustic guitar 2 disorted electric plays dyads and single notes guitar 3 another disorted electric supports berry-based comping guitar 4 clean electric triads guitar 5 another clean electric which adds fills of the chorus
Could Mick Taylor overdubbed any of those guitars.he once in a german hosital I think at that time.
I do not where I read this but I am positive that Keith said that Taylor did indeed play on this tune. Example he listed was at the end there is the guitar hook that keeps repeating. Starts under Jagger's vox "but I like it..." and then takes over. Those syncopated hits. Then another guitar joins in and basically doubles the part but ever so slightly different. The hits are so close behind the first hits it sound slike a delay repeat, which it is not. anyway Keith said that that was Taylor. i can easily hear what could be Taylor. Once they both start berry riffing they are pretty close. Keith bends a lot more though. And the basic track is so muddy that I wonder if they left more than just accoustic and rhtym section. Is there a pianner on there? can't remember. Can anyone honestly say that they make out David Bowie? LOL This is song 3 of the big hits original version that Charlie doesn't even play on. YCAGWYW and Happy being the other two.
Jack Nitzsche might have done the drums for IORR. Jimmy Miller does play drums on YCAGWYW. And JJflash, it was Keith, Bobby and Jimmy recording Happy because nobody else showed up and Keith wanted to get the track recorded.
