The first pics posetd are brilliant.
The side on shot of Charlie looks like he's sitting on a bus waiting to have his ticket punched.

He makes me think of that Shirley Bassey song....

The minute you walked in the joint
I could see you were a
man of distinction
a real big spender
Good looking, so refined......

Met Charlie in 78 before one of his Rocket 88 gigs at Dingwalls nightclub in Camden, north London. He was a real gentleman then too and stopped to pose for pix. He was immaculately dressed in a white suit. Meanwhile behind him Ian Stewart was busy loading the gear into the venue.

>> It’s not my story and don’t want copyrights for. I live in Serbia, and never was in England <<

if you go back to your first post, you'll see an "edit post" button at the bottom. click on that,
and then you can add that clarification at the top of your first post. it would be less confusing that way - thanks.

(i know you're Serbian, but even so, at first i thought you'd gone to the UK on holiday
and that they were your photos and your story. and it sure looks like i'm not the only person who thought that.)

I'm sorry Voja but it's been decided that you will be sent to with sssoul's office immediately for punishment. And without any dinner. You've been a very naughty boy! grinning smiley

Strange, seems that he's getting old. Few months ago he looks much better!

Cant say I agree. I think he looks better in these new pics than he did a few months ago when I thought he looked a bit frail.

Good to see him looking so well. When he's treated with the respect that any celebrity having a private moment should be, he's an absolute gent.

If rock & roll was a brick wall Charlie Watts is the cement amongst those bricks.

Thanks for the pix & story.

He is 68 - we should all be so lucky to look as cool as he does when we're that age. Take a look at yourself (hmmm...might be a song in there somewhere?) or your parents or grand parents. What DO people want from the Stones? This is getting.....

As one who made a joking post about Charlie looking old, let me say that I'm a Stones fan. I don't care about lesser artists who sound the same song after song. He's 68 this year so I wouldn't expect him to look like it's 1969 all over again. I have friends who have met him & he's been an absolute prince to them. I guess a sense of humor isn't de rigeur on this board?

I think he looks old too, but very good at the same time. It's funny though, while reading the story I thought to myself, he has such a distinctive look, how could they not know it was him? After seeing the photos though, I can understand why. He hasn't had the hairstyles and all like the others do since the early 70's, he looks just like any other old guy. I don't think I would recognise him right away, or at least be sure it was him, either.

I think he looks fantastic and dapper as always. Can you imagine looking dapper every day, I mean, nobody really gives a shi& how they look. It's just gym clothes all day. I don't know anyone who is that interested in how they dress! More power to him!

I still don't know who wrote the story, though!
