My all time favorite guitar, and one I hope to own someday... The Black Les Paul Keith played at MSG (and other shows) during the '69 tour. Anyone have any good photos of it? When I get (or build) mine I wanna be sure to get it right. Correct model, Pick ups, and and trim colors etc.

Most beautiful guitar IMO is the black Custom Les Paul with 3 pick-ups; not sure if that is the one Devyn is also referring to. But that is my fave.

Just show any PRS.

Easy. The Dan Armstrong plexi and the Black Les Paul. Honorary mentions go to the Telecaster and the SG. Don't mess with the classics.

You are referring to the 1959 Les Paul Custom that Keith started using in late '66 or early '67, not sure precisely when. I found it interesting to note that you mentioned you would build one. Just so you know though Gibson has reissues available, though the model year in this case is 1957. Check it out here: 1957 Les Paul Custom 3PU

There were few changes in this model between 1957 and 1959. The only one that comes to mind is the neck thickness slimmed down a bit going forward. But the real expert here is His Majesty. He owns one!
