They really rocked "the Waldbühne" in Berlin 1982?--electricmud?

Yes, Waldbühne , the only gig in 1982 without the 81/82 stage-design. They used the common small Waldbühnen-stage (I think even in Frankfurt they had an 81/82 indoor stage-design).

Hickorywind, your list is just a dream. Your life with the Stones. Like Keith said: "There is the sun, the moon and the Rolling Stones." These words are for people like you. Just great. Cheers!!

Any memories from the '65 & '71 gigs you'd care to share, Hickorywind?

Hey VOODOOLOUNGE, I was at 8 of your 11 shows! You must live near me! Are you from New England? I think I've " spoken" to you before.

Hey Mickschix,
I was originally from Connecticut, and all of my mother's family's still domiciled there, along with my parents. My dad's family's all in Vermont. Nowadays, I'm in upstate New York, but it's most convenient for me, babysitter wise, to go see them in CT, as I can just leave the kids at my parents. Boston, to me, is the best place to see Stones, so I usually don't miss the opportunity to see them there, and it's not that bad of a drive home. To here, it's about 4 hours, but to my parents house, only about 2-2.5.

What about you? Where do you live??
VL

Hey Mickschix,
Still lookin to see where you're located......... smiling smiley

Hey VooDoo we got caught up on another thread today but I was wondering why you didn't like the Albany, N Y show?? I LOVED THAT SHOW! I was a few rows back on the right side, in a diagonal to Keith. That night, I had a pass to the Rattle Snake Cafe and walked right by Charlie, checked out the Boys rooms, walked on a cat walk above Rattle Snake AND got a Stones guitar pick from Keith, very cool. I also loved the energy of the crowd with the Stones. So, what didn't you like?

Wow! Sounds like you had one heck of a night Mickschix!! Good for you! Backstage is one of the few things left that I've not experienced. One of these days I hope to.

Well, it must just be one of those weird Stones things with me because I know of other people who loved Albany too. Must go right along with my loathing of Rambler. For me that was the first concert where I failed to get a new song live, and it seemed to me like they were just phoning it in. It was hot as hell in there and they seemed to take extra long breaks between songs which reminded me of why I hate seeing them inside, and would much rather see them in stadiums where they seem much better suited to the open air. I was in the front row of the upper balcony on Ronnie's side, overlooking Blondie, Lisa (great view down...oh nevermind LOL), and Bernard.

It was just a letdown to me after Fenway, Hartford, and my prior concerts...

45 years & one show.
All the rich and glamorous chaps on this site keep on
ridicule me coz I havent been able to see more shows .

If they do, they're arseholes. You're a bigger Stones fan than pretty much anyone else on here.

Sometime ya read things that warms yer heart so much even thou its typed a long time ago.
Thanks ya for the friendly words..
This day they feels even more comforting than I could imagine.

If I stumble over some treasure or "job" (heard there are
such some 500 km from me) I might even afford to see the Stones in Sweden.
Still promised to get a freebie if I make those to dream glimtwin-interviews..
Otherwise I might just go into Balkan or Pannonia/Czecho/Slovensko again.
Still mourns that Stones-tic from 2006 which had to be exchanged due to the coconut-incident.

I have two buddies plus an uncle who tucked me into this more than anything else..
The uncle who breathes Stones since mid-60s, Parachute Man, the cool biker dude..
And my veteran kick-boxin' pal from Timrå named Steve who has been
a diehard Stones-fan 1978. He is still unplugged, but boy does it feels good
to sms the truth in the Charlie affair to him! smileys with beer

Lurved the Stones for a long time myself, but up where I live we rarely get to see real huge concerts.. The elephants actually almost never come here.

Just reread this post and noticed Baboonbro was concerned about the ratio of his years and number of concerts he has seen. Well check this out Bro, I am 66 and seen only one show, that was Feb 65 I missed the 73 show for various reasons but glad I did, because I only want to remember the first show. Thats how I want to remember them when they made the biggest impact on my life. Anybody wanna throw stones(excuse the pun)go for it. I dont give a ratsarse.

Could have been 3 more- in Gothenburg 1990 (dad refused because I was "too young"), Stockholm 1995 and Gothenburg 2007. Concerning the Stockholm show, we had tickets but I had to cancel and dad cried sad smiley and concerning Copenhagen I got ill so dad had to go alone sad smiley

If it's the same "bridge music" that they used in Twickenham then it's St. Germain's Rose Rouge.
