I just placed an order (to be shipped to me in the USA).

My sister, who speaks German, walked through it with me. The one puzzle to her and me is that we only got charged EUR 3,99 for postage, I was expecting a EUR 30 charge to be added to the bill. We couldn't find any option to correct the postage.

Will they automatically charge the EUR 30, or will this mess up the order?

I'm willing to pay the big postage bill, I just don't want to lose out on the book because of a glitch.

Anyone with thoughts? I received an automatic receipt from them showing the 59,99 plus 3,99 postage...

I just wrote a mail to them asking for the correct
shipping rates for Europe and the US. If they answer,
I´ll post it here.

No h&d! I live in France and I got the book awrite despite the theorical 3.99 fees.
The sole problem is when you get the book and the bill/invoice attached there's no total/final amount written on it!
So I still don't know how much I paid for it... My banker does know, though ><

With the Euro at $1.50 or so, that's a lot for postage & handling. I too am interested in getting this book but I wonder if it'll be available stateside?

I have received an email with attached invoice where the postage cost is of EU 23.
I pay via bank account, not credit card because my credit card is not accept from them system .
i don't understood why ?

I can translate a lot of it, but I'm still unclear whether this means they are indeed sending it via the slow boat at Euro 3,99, or whether they are charging me Euro 22 to send it faster.

Imho this translates in
"The postage to the U.S. amounts to € 22.00 per package plus 2.00 Euro per Kg weight" that is, since the book weights 10 kgs, 22+(2x10)=42€?

Well - got a pickup order on my postoffice for my books today and also a bill from Jokers in a separate letter. A german bank bill (WTF??)!
The shipping was 30 euro to Norway but I´ve already paid the shipping they claimed they needed at ordering so a little confused now. But a mail to Jokers probably will resolve the issue.

Hot damn, I just saw my Amex card was charged by jokers.de for this book.

End price was $133 US....Euros charged was 89.64, which means they charged about 25 Euros for postage/shipping to the U.S. I'm okay with that, this is my favorite photo period for the Stones.

My copy showed up at the front door two days ago. Simply an amazing book. It is huge, and weighs more than a Volkswagen.

A remarkable coffee table book, with gorgeous pix of the young Stones. I am so glad I saw this thread and bought this!

Is this thing available in stores? I'm going to Italy next March & Spain/France in June & I'd rather see it before purchasing(I'm in USA).

But how would you take these books with you on the plane ? 10 Kg is about 20 pounds I guess. Probably cheaper to buy them online

I just bought it, rather confusing for non-speaking Germans, and a minor glitch on the credit card process. But 84 Euros to the US! (shipping was 25). Confirmed with an email. Should take 2 wks. Could be a much better item than Tarle's Exile Book which is rare but $1000s.

Edit : je me suis débrouillée grâce aux explications données page précédente, le prix du livre et de livraison étaient clairement écrits lors de ma commande : 59 + 10 euros.

Incredible! 6 days only after ordering, I received my books this morning. Firstly, I was very surprised by the size and the weight of the package... big, huge!
