Great '70s cover of Jumping Jack Flash

I just discovered this, by one of my favourite bands, the Sensational Alex Harvey Band:

Some of you have probably heard them. They were a Scottish band starting in the early 70s with their roots in the blues (they made a really funky version of I Just Wanna Make Love to You) but played mostly what could be called "theatrical progressive" and pure '70s heavy rock 'n' roll with some '50s influences. They also covered School's Out by Alice Cooper and Runaway by Del Shannon (!).

Awesome. That's what I call some "greasy" guitar playing. Always loved TSAHB but never had the chance to see them. They sound like a rockin' Party band don't they.

Almost tossed my cookies when side 4 of Frampton Comes Alive contained JJF.

Can't believe I actually bought "I'm In You" two years later. What a horrendous record that was!

Not bad, not bad, excellent in fact, but my top JJF cover version is Flamin' Groovies version from the Skydog Records JJF/Blues From Phyllis single.

You are so right Tommy, great call on Zal. I seen them open for Jethro Tull in Macon, Georgia back in the mid 70's and Zal put on an incredible show for sure with all his stage antics. I have always liked SAHB, one of the bands that never got the recognition it deserved.
