I have to say...I gave Keys a spin when I learned of her piano skills & training...sad to say, all hype. She may be talented but whatever that CD was I bought was just a hip hop record with a tiny bit of piano in the background (which you could never hear). Sadly, talents prefer to be the next pop star than the next Nina Simone. Mariah Cary is a great example of this (although, I do like the song "they call the wind mariah", which is where her folks got her name).
I suspect Dylan's interest was beyond music.

Alicia definately a fan! Her "unplugged" CD/DVD has her doing a pretty cool version of Wild Horses with the Maroon 5 guy. AND she choose to sing Gimme Shelter at the big Earth Day thingie a few years back (got back to hotel from the last Stones Bigger Bang in Rome date and saw it live on TV)

I saw her do a pretty mean version of Gimmie Shelter with Keith Urban dyring the Live * concert a couple of years ago. Pretty damn good imo.
