Stones & Twitter

Saw the following message at the Twitter page of Lance Armstrong:

"Relaxing in the room, listening to the Stones. I love my life but wouldn't mind being Mick Jagger for a day. Know what I mean?"

A cool mention I think! I was just wondering if the Stones will ever create their own Twitter page. Keith never I guess, but it's a typical Mick thing don't you guys think?

Hey, Keith and Lance both used dope.

Well, I highly doubt Twitter s Keith's thing. Besides, it might be hard to tweet with those gnarly old fingers of his. Mick may be into it ... then again, he doesn't seem to be into blogging and such. The guy is definitely NOT an open book. Come to think of it, the Stones are actually a little more private in this modern era of technology than their very public lives might lead one to expect. Mick has always been one to stay on the cutting edge of modern trends - or at least try to keep up with them. But outside of playing around with a 'web vote' for songs on tour back in '97 (sort of cutting edge then, far from that now), the band seems to have distanced itself from blogging, twittering, etc.

Good for them I say.

Uh.no they didn't. Get over the fact that Lance is clean.

as i said on another thread: i was a Tdf maniac. sometimes watched it for hours. but in the last years it became nothing but a joke (or as they say: a Tour de farce). everybody knows that almost everybody is/was doped. and lance too!!!
but on the other hand he's the best among the dopers ;-) so he deserves to win.
for me the tdf thing is over. they destroyed it. i go for honest and real champs like roger federer...

Twitter? I know it's become a big thing but I really don't give a shit about Twitter. Nor do I involve myself with myspace or facebook or whatever else. I'm not interested in being told by people 'Where are you' when I'm busy because I have a life and work to do, etc...

I'm on iorr.org enough as it is.

The Stones are of the sort that if they have something to say it goes on a record. I can't see them themselves bothering with any of the popular instant things. Having a website is enough sometimes.

He could have a Ghost Tweeter.

word of the day @ Urban Dictionary.

Ghost Tweeter
August 6

1.The act of helping a friend fine tune their twitter updates. Either to make them funnier or more concise.

2. Knowingly coming up with tweets for a friend or colleague.

3. Tweeting for a company or entity under the guise of being them.

4. Tweeting as a celebrity without their knowledge.
"Wow, Jane's last tweet was hilarious. she must have a funny ghost tweeter."

or

"That's not really Ashton Kutcher on twitter. That is a ghost tweeter."
