Also great choices, CharliMoon. Don't know if you've read the book or not, but HST's "Fear and Loathing" actually has them listening to Sympathy while driving in the car. Johnny Depp I have read apparently fought to keep that in the film version but was shot down, for whatever reason, by the film's director. Oh well, at least we had some Stones over the end credits.

Also, what the Greek said. While not a feature movie, the placement of "Thru and Thru" in The Sopranos was nothing short of inspired.

Oh really? I didn't know that about SFTD. Very cool.
A pity Terry Gilliam (the director of Fear & Loathign In LV) didn't keep it in the film.
JJF is in, though, and that makes my old *ahem* - 17 *cough* - heart happy. *lol*
The Only HST book I've read is The Rum Diary, which is pretty awesome. thumbs up

what i've read is that the "for whatever reason" was the licensing fee that ABKCO required for the use of the track -
it was way more than the film budget could stand.
