Hey,free is free. Their not that horrible I'll download it. I remember downloading a Nine Inch Nails album for free. That was overpriced. Coldplay at least can carry a tune.

W E T R O C K roolesssssss, but not in my sonic hemisphere. You could hold a gun to my head and I would not listen to a free album by Coldplay, let alone be forced to buy one. They have musical appeal equivalent of wearing bee-attracting Eau de Toilette in the vicinity of a hive farm.

Another band I just don't understand it's popularity. The vocals are excruciating to listen to. And really dumb lyrics.

I actually quite liked the title track to their last album. I thought it was a great song, and for the longest time I'd no clue who the hell sang it.

OK, so now that I've upgraded to DSL, I downloaded this last night, and I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised by it. I'd put them on par with U2 in terms of the message they seem to be trying to convey, but without all the pompous BS and with seemingly much more class. Anyone else have an opinion?

Don't listen to coldplay! You just might end up enjoying their music! And imagine that!!!

I had the chance to see them in concert last year and was thoroughly impressed by their abilities as a band and their stage performance. I would go to see them again anytime.

IMO it's their best - quite eclectic.

Say for the few on here that like them, have you gone to see them on this tour? And if so, do they hand you a copy of this free cd at the door, or does it come with your tickets in the mail, or something else entirely? Anyone know?

Apparently the CD is given to you when you walk through the gates, like Prince did with his free album that was given away at shows a few years back.

Darn. Was kinda hopin it came with the tickets. They're not coming all that close to where I live.

free is too expensive; they have to pay me big bucks to listen to it...would be a most miserable torturous hour of my life i'd never get back again...and post traumatic stress i don't even want to think about...i'd listen for fifty...if they provide the disc, a stereo, and about a ton of magic cigarettes. and a valium...a spit bucket...and a new pair of flip flops; none of this is negotiable.

I HATE COLDPLAY.....and I see I am in great company!! Man, they stink and it amazes me that they still get decent reviews!! No accounting for taste, I guess!

Coldplay's actually pretty good live, i saw them in 2005.
