Well, to my taste I would say AC-DC.

My taste says: "save money because the Stones will be touring soon" ...

I'd love to see the Clapton-Winwood tour, but they're not coming here. Love the Blind Faith album (a classic!) and it sure would be great to hear them perform some of those tunes together.

I just found out that King Sunny Ade is coming here in June, and I'm pretty excited about that though (okay, I'll admit it, I'm a weirdo...)

The Dead

Red and white, blue suede shoes, I'm Uncle Sam, how do you do?
Gimme five, I'm still alive, ain't no luck, I learned to duck.
Check my pulse, it don't change. Stay seventy-two come shine or rain.
Wave the flag, pop the bag, rock the boat, skin the goat.
Wave that flag, wave it wide and high.
Summertime done, come and gone, my, oh, my.

I'm Uncle Sam, that's who I am; Been hidin' out in a rock and roll band.
Shake the hand that shook the hand of P.T. Barnum and Charlie Chan.
Shine your shoes, light your fuse. Can you use them ol' U.S. Blues?
I'll drink your health, share your wealth, run your life, steal your wife.
Wave that flag, wave it wide and high.
Summertime done, come and gone, my, oh, my.

Back to back chicken shack. Son of a gun, better change your act.
We're all confused, what's to lose?
You can call this song, the United States Blues.
Wave that flag, wave it wide and high.
Summertime done, come and gone, my, oh, my.

seen DTB once this spring and will again next month...a serious argument can be made they are the best band in the biz right now - besides the greatest guitar planet known to mankind, they boast a very impressive collection of players and mattison is developing into a monster of a singer, too....sorta howlin' wolf meets buddy miles or something....

Sales wise it'll be U2.....Quality of show wise. No contest. Springsteen. The shows are getting better and better on this tour already.

After the summer is over and everything is counted, we'll know the answer.

I assume that by "top notch attraction", Tippy means "Who's going to sell the most tickets and make the most money?", not "Who do you most want to see this summer?" U2 and AC/DC are playing stadiums, so it's got to be them. And, though their concert seems like a good place to take a nap, Elton John and Billy Joel are going to make an awful lot of money as well. I even think they're playing a few stadium dates, too.

Madonna is one of the top (selling) acts too

I could have counted wrong but in Europe it would be something like this....

AC/DC, 21 stadium concerts
Depeche Mode, 24 stadium concerts + some festivals.
U2, 24 stadium concerts
Bruce springsteen, 19 stadium concerts + some festivals.
Madonna 23 stadium concerts.
Coldplay 15 stadium concerts.

Yeah, but everyone takes second place to MJ and his 50 sold out shows at the O2.

I'm not saying that because I prefer MJ to AC/DC or U2. It's just true - I didn't think he would sell out the first 10 shows they put on sale.

The top attraction in Canada for this Summer is definitely AC/DC. They're doing 5 stadium and one outdoor show (Moncton, where the Stones played). All the stadium shows are sold out and I've read they've sold approximately 60,000 for the Moncton show.
Approximate numbers: Vancouver 55000 Edmonton 55000 Regina 38000 Winnipeg 45000 Montreal 50000.
