Show this petition to your friends:

"Brian Jones never released a solo album and the closest he came was the film score that he composed for A DEGREE OF MURDER. Unfortunately, an official soundtrack has never been released. Several bootlegs claiming to be the 'soundtrack' have appeared, but they are all straight dubs from the film, with dialogue present and often in terrible sound quality."

From earcandy article

"A Degree of Murder", recorded in 1966-1967, is the only music that Brian Jones (guitarist of the Rolling Stones) composed, produced and arranged.
Brian jones plays sitar, organ, recorder, cello, banjo, harpsichord, autoharp, dulcimer, clarinet and harmonica.
Jimmy Page plays guitar
Nicky Hopkins palys Piano

WE WANT THAT "A DEGREE OF MURDER" SOUNDTRACK IS AVAILABLE IN CD FORMAT IN GOOD SOUND QUALITY.

Who is this aimed at exactly?

Plus, as far as I am aware, the master tapes for the DOM soundtrack, or in fact any tapes of Brian's music have never been found, the only source for the music is the film itself.

I'm not a tecchie, but would it not be possible in this day and age, to somehow seperate the dialogue from the music soundtrack?
Then do clever things with the music recording, enhance the quality etc.
Would be for enthusiasts only though, hardly wide audience appeal.

Sadly we, i think are left with really his 1st love, tHE MUSIC he helped make with the Rolling Stones...I don't think he did anything else on tape, except the movie, and sometimes its hard to get into something that was recorded for a movie. So i agree with jlowe...
Plus he had no time and was not healthy enough before he died to do anything!Just put on ruby tuesday, paint it black or tsmr and rock on with Brian!

But where will this online petition be sent to? How can you expect a CD release when there are no known master tapes?

Are you going to ring up Herr Schlondorff?
You know there's this techie tycoon named Paul Allen (Microsoft) and he is a huge R'n'R aficionado... Perhaps he can assist with this dilemma!
(And he once dated Jerry Hall.)

The thing to all can be made present at the persons been involved in the realization of the film, like the director Volker Schlondorff
According to Felix Aeppli the original master tapes exist.
