NB: Roy Carr is the author of the excellent "Rolling Stones: An Illustrated Record" and at the time of this interview, was arguably THE most respected of any british music journalist. An avid Stones fan (and collector) who was highly respected by the band themselves, Carr's journalism had a depth and maturity to it that alas, was so unusual during that partcular period.
