Hello,

As recommended to me by a mate of mine (take a bow,Dinga!),this is a band that I cannot claim to know too much about,other than sharing the same birthplace.
The startling thing for me was realising that for once in a very,very long time the band that I was watching was younger than me!

Tell you what though,the sell-out crowd certainly knew all about the 'Patrol and loved what they heard:emotional songs looking to connect with the listener,with plenty of singalong moments.

I can't say that they'll replacing The 'Orrible 'Oo,The Stones or Bruce in my affections anytime soon,but to be fair that could be said of pretty much any band!

Have to admit mind, that Snow Patrol don't particularly rock my boat. I saw them supporting U2 a couple of years' back and found them to be souless and at times, quite boring.

Still, what do I know!

not really my bag but great pics. i like the MEN arena, seen a lot of good stuff there over the years including the stones, springsteen, rem, leonard cohen, etc and looking forward to acdc there (april) and bb king (june)

Appreciate the comments as ever.Yep,The 'Patrol are a little outside my usual remit but weren't half as awful as I feared (howzat for a backhanded compliment,heh-heh?).

Yorkshire Stone:Yep The MEN is ok as long as you can get half-decent seats.I'll be there for Mr. King too,but have drawn a blank re AC/DC.If you do have a spare please let me know!

I feel pretty much the same way Simon. They don't come close to being better than the Stones,Bruce or the Zep. But as far as new bands go these days. They are one of the better ones. I enjoy their stuff. Although probably not enough to go see them.
