Heartbreaker live

When was the last time "Hearbreaker" was performed live?
2005?

I really love this number.
Do you think the band didn't play it on the last tours because of the long guitar solo & the "talk" between guitar and bass?
Neither Keith or Ronnie would have been able to play it well...
What do you think?
Thanks.

Mon ami, do you have the 1973 version on Brussels Affair (actually from a London show)? C'est extra!

<<When was the last time "Hearbreaker" was performed live?

They did it a the opener of the '07 leg. Can't remember if it was done elsewhere on that leg.

<<What do you think?>>

I think you'll have to go back to the '75 tour to find the last good live version of this song.

Sure! And also on "Bedspring Symphony".
The London version is great,as we say in French:"du très grand Taylor"...

NB:You should write "mon amie",'cause I am actually a woman winking smiley

I love the L.A forum version.
The song was played two times I think during the ABB Tour in 2007;what do you mean by "at the opener of the 07 leg"?

SwayStones; I meant opening night of the '07 European part of the ABB tour. Sorry, if I wasn't clear.

It was played at Werchter, Belgium, at the opening of the 2007 leg (I was there).

The problem with the post 2003 versions is that you inevitably compare them with the 73 version. Per se the new ones are good, but they pale if compared to THAT version! The wall of sound that the band built up in 73 during that particular number was unique. And loved the way Taylor used the wha wha pedal.

You can translate "You're welcome" by:" de rien" or, using a more correct sentence:" Je t'en prie".

Yeah, Taylor plays a hot lead on Brussels Affair. Kinda a strange song in Stones history - not bad, just weird.

I'm guessing Pat Benatar plays "Heartbreaker" at all of her shows.

I saw Rod Stewart's daughter sing that one at one of his shows 4-5 years back. She's cute with a great voice - thanks Mom and Dad.

Also, the Heartbreakers are a good live band.

But that Grand Funk Railroad song Heartbreaker just s-cks.

How come Charlie just oozes into the song instead of attacking it when they do it live? I've never understood that. It just kind of loafs into being.

Enchante . . .

But we better stick to Anglais on this board. Besides I'm American (though I work in West Africa, which explains the francophonie.)

"du tres grand Taylor" cool smiley

Led Zeppelin - Rocking and Rolling and Ruling - As always.
I'd give that performance of Heartbreaker an A+.

This is one song where they NEED Mick Taylor. I have not seen/heard a version that I like since Mick T was around.

I don't like to much Jagger's voice on the first video you've posted(or you've been posted????)
It's obvious Ronnie's solo can't give the same chickenskin as Taylor in the 70's
I prefer the 1975 version.

Led Zep is my favorite after the Stones.

Love The Stones one, love The Zepp one....but let's not forget another great band that did a song by that name.

The Brussels Affair version is brilliant. But there are two versions that are actually better, I think:

1 Los Angeles, July 10, 1975
2 Hamburg, Oct. 2, 1973, evening show
