Keith screwed up when he let Jagger place Indian Girl on Emotional Rescue, instead of "Let's Go Steady" or "We Had It All"

Keith also screwed up Brown Sugar in Auckland 1973...but I'll forgive him...I guess

The China Bigger Bang renditions of both Bitch and Gimme Shelter are poor, poor, Keith performances imo. I played around with my TV in ordrer to get Keiths channel out of both speakers: it was shocking, to be frank.

Most if not all of his BB Tour performances are not note worthy. The man just can't play anymore. He became a poser, a parody and a victim of his own legend. People (and media) expect to see some sort of the Keith they think to know from the 70's but forgetting that all these stories are 35 years ago and that he is in his mid 60s now. He tries hard to fulfill all these expectations but its just sad seeing him acting like he does nowadays. He's old and cannot play the guitar anymore. He and anyone else should accept this eventually.

you're right bimmelzerbott. i really wish he finds a way to grow old gracefully.
but clowning and repeating cacophony-leadlicks is shurely not the way!
IMO the only possibility is to slow down, forget the big stages...downsize everything...and record something in the style of cashs american recordings...

There's a golden rule in music: Never show what you can't do anymore.

On the other hand,if Keith still enjoys it?

Yes - but would result in better guitar-work by Keith?

Changing from a musician to a celeb (circa 1989).

I think he still did great through "Babylon". IMO the whole Winos experience ranks as some of his very best work of his entire career. Not only his guitar playing, but putting that band together, and leading them to a tight unit rivals/beats all of his latter day Stones work IMO.

Can't agree with that. The man is out of the limelight entirely except for Stones-related matters. I.E, tours, promotion etc. Aside from the odd guest appearance or sighting at a premiere, when is he in the tabloids? Falling out of cocunut trees and snorting his fathers ashes being notable exceptions!

My big friend, I'm speaking of onstage - Posing, acting Keefy. etc. instead of playing rhythm guitar,

"No Anchovies, Please"
