I think it was 1978 that he started going by Richards, although on LYL it's Richards. At least as far as original releases go.

I realize that is how it supposedly goes.
But they printed "Richard" on BS and Angie AFTER he changed it:Richards >>>>>>>>>> Richard >>>>>>>>>> Richards >>>>>>>>>> Richard >>>>>>>>>> Richards (Family name) (Satisfation) (Honky Tonk) (Brown Sugar) (Shattered)

i can't explain schillid's record labels, though -
if any of those singles he's posted were actually reissues from the late 70s i suppose he'd know that,

I thought that I understood KR's name variance to be a concoction of ALO or something... Something about sounding more like Cliff Richard...
But I was just looking at the labels of some of my 45's...The switch from "Richard" back to "Richards" seems to correspond approximately that time... to their parting from Oldham. See Honky Tonk Women and Street Fighting Man, below.
Look at the labels of Brown Sugar and Angie. Back to "Richard".
Why do you think that is? A misprint?
