Hello all,
I am heading to Vegas this week. I will be going 5 days without playing my guitar so I am wondering if any of you know of any cool guitar shops that might help me get my fix.

Also if anyone has any Stones related suggestions for me to visit, that would be cool as well. Thanks!

P.S. I will be with my wife so visitng their favorite bordello is out of the qwuestion smiling smiley

I guess Ed Roman Guitars would make up for the kid's candy store, guitar wise.
I wonder if you can leave without buying something...it seems un-possible smiling bouncing smiley

Nope, the last (& only) time I've been to Vegas was 30 years ago - dunno if they even existed then.
but it's well known on the web.

have you checked the visit vegas page of Ed? some good hints there, I think.

Absolutely correct! Ed's place is the top of the tower. Nothing like it anywhere else in Vegas even comes close.

Hey Cafaro
There is Cowtown Guitars and Sam Ash, and they are both in the same parking lot,
and they are relatively near the Strip. I believe they are on Maryland Parkway and Karen is the cross St. Not far from the Sahara Casino.
There is also a place called Pat's Desert music on N. Rainbow near smoke ranch.
I know, Smoke Ranch sounds like a brothel but its not. This is in N. Las Vegas so you would need a car for sure.
I also heard Ed Romans is a place you have to be very careful about doing business with. have a good trip.

I called a friend in Vegas who collects guitars so that I could get some info for Cafaro. I only know that he told me to be careful when doing business with them, and didn't say why.

If you had a different experience there, or a different opinion, please share with Cafaro. I do trust my friend because he is fair minded....and he said be careful, didn't say don't go.

If that is a picture of your tattoo, they should be very nice to you.

I think it was a provokative rant about "Vintage Guitars Are Not Worth The Bucks"
that fueled that opinion.
nothing to worry about if your looking or shopping, imho.

If got enough time, try one of these Blues Ed Roman Deluxe and if you don't mind give a short review here when you got back.
Thanks.

Hello all,
I went to 4 guitar shops and had the most enjoyable experience at Cowtown.
This guy has only vintage stuff and he let me play anything I wanted for as long as I wanted. He let me try out effects pedals with different amps using different guitars. I even told him why i was there.....just play and not to buy and he was cool. The prices were fair as well and he would deal. I recommend this place.

Sam Ash was cool. A lot of stuff. they let you play around with stuff. I bought a Danelectro Fuzz from them.

I didn't get the warm fuzzies from Ed Roman. They have a ton of guitars....almost too many. I played 2 guitars and they acted like I was putting them out. I was the only one in the store. I didn't play the Blues Ed Roman. Sorry.

Guitar City was typical. Good people. I played 2 PRS' there. Really great guitars.

I played a Reverend semi hollow body at one the places. I love the guitar. Could be my next purchase. Does anyone know of them or own one? I know Asheton had a signature model.
