I had never seen these until recently.....in someone's home-made Street Fighting Man
video on YouTube. I grabbed these images from the video.

What were the circumstances of the scenes? Was it like the American tv show

it was an all-music show that aired between 1969-70. There are two DVD sets out now that I think capture all the music performed....lots of variety in music - CSNY delivers a stunning Down By the River. haven't watched it in years. No, the Stones never performed, although I think at one point there was a plan for them to do so while on their '69 tour. But the promo gags are pretty funny....
