Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood sacks wife Jo Wood's son as his manager

Ronnie Wood is cutting all ties with estranged wife Jo - by sacking her son Jamie who has been his manager for years.

The Rolling Stone, who's now living with 20-year-old Ekaterina Ivanova, plans to now use the Stones team to look after his affairs.

A family pal said: "Now he's not with Jo anymore he doesn't want her family looking after his money."

Wonder how long it will be now before Ekaterina's on the payroll?

I dont think that was very smart anyway-having your stepson as your manager. I dont know his qualifications but it would make you wonder! IMO only

Secondly, I agree with scottkeef - I wouldn't want my spouse's son being my manager if we were separated/divorcing, even if the separation/divorce was "amicable".

I dont think its a good idea even if they were still together! But maybe thats just being paranoid.

Actually Yoko managed late husband's John's business and his wealth increased a great deal by all accounts and Paulie's attorney was Linda's brother.
So it can work, sometimes.

Good point. Unfortunately, the older one gets, dementia eventually sets in. He probably doesn't remember Jo or where is toothepaste is for that matter. Hopefully, we will see Ronnie in a reality show on A & E.

The only thing that gives me pause is what does this mean for Wooden Records as I believe Jamie was the one running the label. This may mean the New Barbarians MSG gig and the 2004 Ronnie Wood and Fiends show will not receive official release. On the other hand, its good to hear that Ronnie's solo album may have a shot at major label release through Universal. Now if the media will just listen to Ronnie's attempts to let everyone know he's making a solo album and not a Rod and Woody album, he'll be all set.

And if Ron comes up with a cover like the Not For Beginners 'art' Universal can Just Say No. Everyone I know, people who dig it, loathe that utterly bad and misrepresentive cover which no doubt led the curious consumer to say Nay.
