Great set by U2. U2 songs are really difficult to sing and Bono's voice seems to get a bit less when he gets older. I wonder how long he will be able to do it. I hope for a very long time, they still sound awesome age ain't a factor with those guys.

Stevie Wonder and Shakira were great despite Usher,the other part of the trio.
Beyonce was great on America The Beautiful.
Garth Brooks got a lot of time and threw in "Shout"...Too bad Otis wasn't alive to sing it.
Bono was Bono The band were sharp.
Beautiful visuals and production values.

Just watched the HBO special- pretty inspiring, especially considering how F'ed up things are here.

No one really rocked out that I saw, but it was still cool to see them playing at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial - very cool stage.

Hopefully he's the guy for the job.

Sicilian - Though I am no Obama supporter the worst thing that could happen would be for something to happen to him. I could not help but be impressed today with the new president and I am proud to be an American. 50 years ago Obama's father could not get a meal at a lunch counter. We have come a long way and the peacful transition of power is something that we take for granted but most of the rest of the world wishes they had the same. We have an outgoing president and a new president 180 degrees apart and not one casualty during the transition.
