I did notice though that this Soul Revolution only has 12 songs and Wiki lists 14......

Side one
"Keep On Moving"
"Don't Rock My Boat"
was later re-recorded and retitled as "Satisfy My Soul" for Kaya
"Put It On"
"Fussing And Fighting"
"Duppy Conqueror"
"Memphis"
"Soul Rebel"

Side two
"Riding High"
"Kaya"
"African Herbsman"
"Stand Alone"
"Sun Is Shining"
was later re-recorded for Kaya
"Brain Washing"
"Mr. Brown" (aka "Dracula")

Interesting that no one has commented on the loss of Bob's master recordings...

I prefer the pre-Island stuff, esp. the tracks done by Lee Perry, also those by Leslie Kong. But I'm not sure what's the best current edition of this material. At this stage, they were just the Wailers--Marley does not dominate.

anything with "Mr. Brown"--an amazing track--and "Soul Rebel." After you hear this stuff, the Island albums may sound too slick.

Say, The Complete Upsetter Singles 1970-1972, released on the Cleopatra label, this is an official release, correct? The album cover is below.
thanks

Catch a Fire, Rastaman Vibration and Uprising are his best album in my opinion. Full of reggae gems.

Toots & the Maytalls and the Heptones are pretty good too.

So I'm guessing no one has, or knows anything about this one??

Looks like a repackaging of the usual marley & lee perry tracks. Only disc 1 is 'proper' Marley, Tosh & Bunny disc 2 looks like the Upsetter dubs that often appeared on B sides.

Excellent low price Marley/Perry compilation

There's a great Jimmy Cliff one too.
