OT:The Offiical NFL Playoff Thread

NFL playoffs start this week. Wild Card round this weekend. Here's how your's truly see's it playing out. Sat. Take Atl And/or the over. They can both score points. The over might be a good play. But the Falcons behind the great white hope, should get it done. Then bet on the Colts. Sun is a bit tougher. Take the under on the Mia/Balt game. Phi/Minn should be a good game. I like minny for the upset. But Philly is hot.

Eli is beatable; very. And the Colts are superhot. I predict a Superbowl of the brothers QB-ing against each other. Winner-Peyton.

I really don't feel good about ANY of my picks but i've got:
Indy on the road pick em over Chargers
Vikings at home +3 over Philly
Miami at home +3 over Baltimore
Arizona at home +2 over Falcons

It's tough not to take teams getting pts at home in the playoffs, though i can see the Vikes, Fish and Cards all getting beat.

Dolphins are a mammal, not a fish. It's Fins.

Carolina is going to win it all this time. No Mannings, thankfully no New England, and no Dallas at that, no Steelers - they think they are better than they are.

Carolina.

As much as it pains me to say I don't think my Steerers will get out of the divisonal round. Their offense is so weak it makes the Bubby Brister Steelers look like the 1989 Forty-Niners. With the players they have on offense they should be scoring much more but aren't.

Their defense although ranked number one is not a monster defense and will give up 20-30 points to good teams. The Colts can easily beat The Steelers at Hines Field unless it is bitter cold.

Why in the hell was Big Ben even playing against Cleveland? Is Tomlin a dope?

Goodbye Atlanta.

Good game by the Cardinals.

Its looking either way right now
but Manning is superior.
Rivers' hot head will get the better of him.

I truly don't care who wins, but...Go Colts

Carolina.

I'm a life long Patriots fan, and i've been saying since mid season, the panthers are going to win it all. I always liked this team, i think its because i watched the NE v. Carolina superbowl so many times, i've grown admoration for the panthers, lol!!! its true . . . and i respect the coach. For me best active coaches are Belicheck, your coach, and Fischer from Tenn. So, good luck, i will be rooting for you guys!!!

P.S. anybody but the Colts!!!!!!!!!!

Go Chargers!
I saw my first live NFL game in San Diego in the beginning of the season, i`m from Finland, and i`ve been Chargers fan since. They got robbed a couple of times but came back and now it looks good. Super Bowl, here we come

Man was I wrong. I can't believe it - after a season of disappointments the Chargers wake up.

The Patrtiots - I remember watching that game when Miami came to NE and beat them and everybody started leaving early. What kind of fans are those? My buddy, a Pats fan, said 'When you're used to perfection...' and I replied, 'What perfection, losing the one game that ya should've won'?

Enough Patriots. They've done a lot. Time for some new meat.

I'm a Saints fan but when the Panthers got Delhomme I had to start rooting for the Panthers - especially with the way the Saints treated Jake by refusing to put him in and let Brooks wonderfully screw everything up even more. And they are fun to watch, Jake and Smith.

Aaron Brooks - worst QB ever?

I'm getting in on this a bit late .

I liked Indianapolis and Carolina .

Guess I've only got a 50% chance now .

One touchdown in 12 playoff quarters and a missed extra point. They couldn't even kick that nevermind any ass. Bye Bye the fish got squished!

My predictions were way off this first go - I picked Atlanta, Indy, Miami and...I can't remember. I think Min. Ha ha.

SD over Pit? Ya never know.
Bal will give TN a real good run - probably even beat 'em!
Carolina will beat the pants off ARZ.
I would LOVE to see Philly beat the Giants - which will probably happen.

So that's SD, Bal, with that winner being Bal; Carolina and Philly, with that winner being Carolina and Carolina winning the Supe.

See how easy that is? AH HA!

The Stones should give each city of the final four a concert date with two shows in the city that wins the Super Bowl.

Well that sucked.

New NFL rule:
first OT period is not sudden death.
If at the end of that period it is still a tie, the second OT period IS sudden death.

I got PIT, TEN, CAR, and NY.
and I'd like to apologize to those 4 teams for picking them.
