There are a lot more than 2 people from Iceland on IORR. In fact there were
2,000 people from Iceland visiting, out of 300,000 population i.e. almost 1% of people in Iceland visited IORR during 2008.

are you talking of unique users? or did 2 people visite iorr each a thousand times?
sometimes those webstatistics are confusing... just curious!
but anyhow..impressive numbers...

Esperaré unos días...y si no aparece, te vuelvo a contestar.

Mientras, recibe un saludo de esta Stoniana toledana.

Interesting, bv - and impressive, I had no idea iorr was this big. Can you rate the countries according to visitors per capita? Think you wrote that 1 % of the people on Iceland had visited iorr?!

Unique visitors i.e. individual people. If you visit one million times you are still only one visitor. I do work with web analytics professionally. Any other definition would not make sense.

Probably only Bjornulf knows!?
Or even he don't knows!
So sad board.

I believe unique visitors will only 'tally' the uniqueness of the visitor from that unique session. So if for example, StonesTod stays on the IORR site, looking through different pages, he is one visitor. If he checks his yahoo email and comes back, he's still probably only the same unique visitor.

If he say, comes back tomorrow, he would be recognized as an entirely new unique visitor. That is how I have seen web analytics work.

Anyone who knows can jump in here.

shouldn't the question be: using the same methodology, how many in 2011?

There weren't one million people on the IORR site in 2008.

There were only 1000 people who went onto the site 1000 times each.

Big difference. Let's not kid ourselves .

I think if you added the average number of users online and guests, that would give you a rough idea of the actual numbers of people. If you have 1 million unique views, then it is fairly simple to find how often this group 'revisit'.

Strange though, I actually agree with Mitch on something!

What it does say is what a loyal bunch of 'followists' we have here.
