Exactkly the point as far as a new photo for a new year where I am concerned scotreef, THERE HAS BEEN A QUARTET CALLED THE STONES for over a decade, nearly 2 decades since BW made them a quintet, so why dwell on a past with a picture that is from 1974 or before that? Lets ring in the new year with the quartet we have and hope for something new.

Great photograph. Is there also a backlog of all pictures chosen to be on the frontpage of IORR?

We've had new pictures for a long time-it doesnt hurt to pay homage to where the classics came from! But I expected to be in the minority. The newer stuff IS fine and of course I hope we get more music and a tour! But ya just cant win sometimes.
If ya say great things about Brian or MT ya get told "Get over it" and then theres SOME people on the board who claim they aint been worth a sh-t since 1981!
So what can a poor boy do?

Excellent new pic, ten outa ten BV

great photo BV where is this from ?

The photo is good, in my oppinion we need a contemporary photo like this, old photos would be too nostalgic.

The picture is from the final bow at San Siro, Milan, Italy Tuesday July 11, 2006. Ronnie has got an Italian color jacket with the Italian flag on, and Keith & Charlie are wrapped in an Italian flag. Italy won the world cup in football two days earlier. Great time in Milan indeed. See the show reports here: [www.iorr.org]

As for nostalgia, please note that ever since the IORR web site started way back in the mid 90's, there has been a picture of the band in drawing there. Bill, Keith, Charlie, Mick Taylor, Mick. And those of you who has been around for a while do know the center picture on the IORR web originally...
