Box/package itself is nothing special but the music in this quality is.

A great Xmas present for who? NOT ME. I can't stand Bob Dylan. I often think that people are just trying to be clever by saying how much they dig him.

According to bobsboots this is one set to avoid, it's a pirate of stuff from the official Dylan web site..........the company that put this "boot" out have never released anything original they just copy from other bootleggers and torrents.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if this stuff is pirated from bobdylan.com it can't be exactly high quality because the streams there are mp3 or rm based - lossy stuff to start with.

Pirated? yes, apparentely.
But I love CD 1/8, possible in mp3, I can't judge but both sound and musically high quality. I don;'t hear the compressed sound what I do hear from some mp3 releases.

Mine box has 10 CD's and 1 DVD.
Listened again this morning in the car to the CD's, they sound f.. great!

So why should you even bother to click on a thread that says "splendid Bob Dylan box" and read it!? I don't get it.


Well, as to the box: it most likely is from a mp3-source since it's taken from the official website as retired-dog rightly mentioned which may be important for sound purists.
Is it pirated? Well that's probably for lawyers to discuss. Of course it was released officially via the webpage, but then again it was for free so everyone was able to do with it what he wanted from the start. Moreover those files are no longer available from the website so I don't know... doesn't really do economical harm to anyone, does it?

Avoid this Wonderland Label, it may be one of the worst bootlegs label that ever existed.
