First tour since 2007 with no Honky Tonk Woman before introductions and omitted Midnight Rambler, probably in favor of Sweet Sounds Of Heaven. Speechless, Midnight Rambler is clearly the highlight of almost every show, i doubt its dropped for the reason of including a new

QuoteHalup You Got Me Rocking is missing on your list. There was also an additional song heard by a couple of people that could not be identified. Let's hope it stays that way. Holy crap, there's no need for such trash to be played live at this point (yeah yeah, they could drop the overcooked SFTD etc but that will never happen).

Quoteharlem shuffle The mixing of Exile is one of the worst mixing of a Stones album IORR is their worst. EOMS sounds incredible - and it's just as sonically sharp as LIB and SF. EOMS is a murky album but the mix is fantastic. Mick complained about the mix while talking about VOODOO - which, at the time, I thought, Yeah, he's right. I eventually got around to listening to the

QuoteVoodooLounge13 Gave most of it another listen today and it’s the same. Just not aging well. Other than WWW, MIU, LBTS, and the far too short TMS the album is forgettable. For me it’s second shelf quality with ER, U, IORR. Albums I know of but rarely spin. I know TY was a collection of leftovers but my God they went from that to U and folks round here love it!! For me it must have been what

QuoteTopi They just wrote that to mess with our minds. Poorly written. Just like like the Keith Richards top 20 singers... someone says WRITE THIS and it's just garbage aka click bait. I want to write something about the Stones, completely false (the SUCKING IN THE SEVENTIES, UNDERCOVER and DIRTY WORK tours were a great success) yet based in truth (they recorded, they released, etc), a

It's likely understandable why they don't do songs like Coming Down Again Winter 100 Years Ago Till The Next Goodbye Time Waits For No One and a bit bizarre that they don't do Summer Romance Where The Boys Go Send It To Me Down In The Hole Tie You Up

No Emotional Rescue. That's too bad. Thought they might be a bit more daring given HACKNEY DIAMONDS. At least they did it live finally 11 years ago! So many others they could bring out.

Given the reports of their rehearsals hopefully they do consistently play more than 3 songs from HACKNEY DIAMONDS: Their very own hype about this album, not much different than any hype in the past, has one exception: it's been 18 years. Each new album tour from VOODOO through BANG revealed they were more interested in being historical than present. The work they did to provide a new

He should quit/retire. Since he can't handle a crowd anymore. It's the same two or three songs on vlassic rawk radio anyway from long ago. Cherry Bomb was excellent. The rest... yawn.

I know they're a bit younger than The Cult but, the loss of various original and excellent additional band members aside, the essence of is still going. That's a detail of context that has been whined about as well as admired: The Black Crowes are Chris and Rich Robinson, just as The Cult

QuoteStoneage It is what it is. The rhythm section is gone. 60 percent of the band is left. The song writing duo is not a duo anymore. Since decades. The renowned guests do not make a difference. Still, I'm glad that they finally released some new music instead of touring warhorses around the clock. They are done now. It doesn't matter what they do next. It's been a long run th

A BIGGER BANG was their SOME GIRLS 2 - totally out of nowhere, the one exception being their legacy, yet way too long. STEEL WHEELS, as brilliant as it seems, suffers from the shiny nowness - they HAD to get it together. At times it reeks of desperation. VOODOO - a great looseness... but too loose. Some of what they left off is better. Oh well. They've always made those bad kind of dec

QuoteDan The actual production rehearsals likely will be in the stadium in Houston the days before. Stadium stages are mostly cookie cutter anyway. Depending on the set up it's probably the least complicated aspect. I am sure the lights, video, etc are 90%+ just carried over from past tours. With exception to STEEL WHEELS and, more so, VOODOO LOUNGE, you're probably close to being

Even before the Faces and Jeff Beck Group, Ronnie was a known in the scene. Those Birds singles are terrific. : no I kind of said that - I didn't know HOW MUCH he went through, I just know he went through some ti

I really hope they play more than three off HACKNEY. Just play 5 the entire tour, none of this dropping songs out like the BANG tour. Partially because they made a big deal out of the new album - so tour it! Since Chuck was not involved with HACKNEY... think he'll be on the tour? Matt Clifford did the Racket show. It's been very quiet in that regard!

Apparently Mick was fine with Not Fade Away being the opening song. It's on STRIPPED even. Mick Jagger (1994-95): The Voodoo Lounge show You open it with this big, grand gesture, an explosion of fire and with a drumbeat going. The first number's (Not Fade Away) really simple as far as the musicians are concerned. Then we have fireworks going, which changes the light on the sides. I
