QuoteRockman ................Wow, I never saw that picture!............It was amazing that the Stones opened for The Ronettes, and ended up meeting one of the most famous rock/pop record producers of all time, and also the legendary Gene Pitney!!!!. ...........The stars were aligned in more ways than one!

That was a 1960's "battle" to sell teen magazines. ...............The Beatles were a pop/rock/mor/country group that changed the world, and pop culture, and created song compositions that boggle the mind and will endure forever. ...............The Rolling Stones are a blues, rn'b rock band that gave u

.................thanks for the correction about Roy Buchanan. Maybe it is likely that he was becoming so respected by many of his peers (including a live song with Hendrix),it just morphed into "oh yeah, I turned them down"????.I respect Ian Stewart and John Mayall, so that sounds more realistic.

QuoteBig Al Unsurprising, really. To regularly attend concerts at the big venues is something I, personally, cannot afford. What is the average ticket-cost at venue such as the O2 Arena in London? Must be near, or around, £100, surely? That’s a once-per-year event for me! .......Thanks for bringing this up............I remember like it was yesterday, when the Eagles basically changed the whole

..............The scrutiny of Charlie Watts and comparing him with Steve Jordan is ridiculous. There is a video of Charlie and other drummers having a round table discussion about great drummers on you tube which is about 15 years old, in it Charlie clearly compliments Jordan, and that was ages before Charlie or anyone had an inkling that the Stones would need a replacement drummer someday. Jorda

Quotebv If you want to be surprised about the set list for this tour, then this thread is not the place to be. I have been so lucky to hear what they are working on for this tour, and much to my surprise, they have been rehearsing nine out of the twelve tracks of their new album Hackney Diamonds during the past two weeks of rehearsals. I will guess they do five - 5 - songs from their new album

QuoteGAFF Quotempj200 What? Why would you think Chuck or Matt have anything to do with the setlist? Matt does not but Chuck does because Chuck is their acknowledged musical director. He documents every show to make sure they don't play the same exact set list when they return to a given market. His data goes back decades so he can say exactly when they last played a particular song in a

QuoteFeelslikeaGhost I've posted a few setlists on this thread but this is probably the one I've put the most thought into, it's a similar format to the ABB Tour with a few modifications Intro: (We Love You) "Ladies and Gentlemen... THE ROLLING STONES" 1. Jumping Jack Flash 2. Angry 3. Rotate Song (Shattered, IORR, GOOMC, 19NB, She's So Cold, Etc.) 4.
