Is the fact that they played a shortened set on the last tour featuring only 19 songs an indication that they are now getting older? I saw them at Madison Sq in Sept 2005 and they played 22 songs for a total time of 2hrs 15 mins. Now they barely made it 2 hours. Is this the shape of things to come? I hope not. Maybe they will soon need ventilators at the side of the stage.

Real die hard music fans tend to buy both official releases and boots. There's been talk over the years that Keith has given a few unreleased/live recordings away to be bootlegged such as the Sounds Interchange Studio material recorded March 12-13 1977 plus the odd live concert.

Good point. Variety is the spice of life. He played Happy in Nijmegen so why couldn't he have played it in London. Why did the Stones bother playing three different sets in many towns on the Licks tour if they are not aware of fans wanting to hear different songs? It's sheer laziness. We the fans demand more.

They were supposed to be released on the 40th anniversary of the release of Sgt Pepper on June 1 this year but then it all went quiet. EMI have already had the albums remastered but are now waiting for a suitable launch date. Hopefully it won't be in 62 for their 50th anniversary!

Interesting point Cat. Could be one for the Stones to develop. They actually started that idea on the Licks tour and the three nights I saw them at Wembley in 2003 they played a handful of songs from Exile, Let It Bleed and Sticky Fingers on different nights. Perhaps a whole album played in its entirety would be too much for your average Stones fan but at least say a four or five song segment

Hi, one exists but it's a bootleg. All the Stones Decca catalogue were brought out in their original UK mono versions on bootleg CDs about 10 years ago. They all featured b-sides and out-takes. Try looking on E-Bay but your best bet is record fairs. Even try the Exchange/For sale site on here.

Yeah, my sentiments entirely J-J-Flash. When the Stones do a series of shows in one town they usually mix up their set lists. They after all master craftsmen so you would expect a certain amount of looseness. It must get boring for them to have to churn out the same songs night after night so why not have a bit of fun. I think it was laziness.

Was anyone else really disappointed with the set list on Sunday? They could have really pulled out some gems, especially as it was the last night of the entire world tour. Having witnessed a truly great gig at the 02 on Thursday with thunderous versions of Midnight Rambler and Paint It Black and an extremely rare outing for Shine A Light it seemed as if Sunday would be the night where they really

Having the best ticket ever for a Stones arena show - Block A row H seat 14 - I smuggled my Cannon EOS camera in and started shooting without flash. After an hour there were so many flashbulbs going off that I did the same. Must have got 120 pix in all - some of them gems.

The piano riff at the end of the intro of Flight 505 is a knowing nod to the Satisfaction riff and was intended to be as such by Ian Stewart.

Bill has reportedly said that he would only consider re-joining the band for their final world tour so I doubt we'll see him. Nice thought though.

As it's the last night of the entire BB tour will the Stones do an extra long set. I saw them in New York in Sept 05 and they played for 2hrs 15 mins - 23 songs. Now they're down to just 19 in a set that falls short of two hours. My feeling is that they'll do two encores - Brown Sugar and then end with You Can't Always Get What You Want. At Earl's Court 76 on the last ni

Last night at the 02, Aug 23, we got a real classic version in which the mid-song engine like weaving between Keith and Ronnie really took off. A version to cherish.

Last night was one of those Stones shows where they played as if their lives depended on it and they certainly pulled out some real plums. Start Me Up was as perfunctory as ever but as soon as Let's Spend The Night Together started up you knew that they were going to throw in some rarities. The first key moment came as Keith revved up the opening chords of All Down The Line, a song they p

For me Midnight Rambler is still the best song for seeing the Stones' hitting a groove and jamming it for anything up to 14 minutes. My personal fave is the one on the Mick's Birthday boot - Madison Sq Gardens July 26 1972. I'd be interested to hear of equally heroic versions - especially ones longer than the standard 11 minutes.

Wow - that 1792 tour was the best. Keef did a great lute solo on Lady Jane. The set list when they played The Globe Theatre in London was: Brown Sugar Alley Fighting Man Jumping Jack O'Lantern Flash Moonlight Mile Sweet Virginnie Ain't To Proud To Beg Back Street Girl Black Horse and Cart Brand New Horse Citadel Dandelion and Burdock Mill Girl Going To A Public Floggi

Wembley Sept 1973. What a great great show. The 72/73 World Tour was the best the Stones ever did. Mick Taylor was on fire and they did incredible vcersions of Gimme Shelter, Midnight Rambler and Rip This Joint.

On Tuesday night my wife and I were offered upgraded lower tier seats for the show in place of our rubbish upper tier tickets once we were inside. The venue is obviously trying to pack out the empty spaces in the stalls and lower tiers so it doesn't look unsold. There are plenty of seats left to buy.

What a load of crap. You get can tickets at most agencies for the two remaining shows. And even though I had a pair of rubbish upper tier tickets for Tuesday I was offered an upgrade by the venue. It's not sold out so if you haven't got a ticket just go down and you'll probably get in for half price.

Is the once mooted box set of rarities ever going to come out? They could easily fill 10 CDs with just the best stuff and even include live gigs. Why isn't Allen Klein or his son who now apparently controls the ABCKO business bringing stuff out. Releasing the Rock'n'Roll Circus CD and DVD was excellent but he is sitting on so much other unreleased stuff recorded until 1970. I thoug
