Saw them in Chicago at The Aragon circa Combat Rock. Great show. Couple years later the Strummer led Clash played at The Milwaukee Auditorium the same night Frank Sinatra played The Milwaukee Arena (both venues occupy the same block). Now, wouldn't that have been fun strolling around the block before the shows?

Oh and,in Brewtown at least, Stanley Clarke was a revelation. Everyone I talked to at the show was blown away by him.

Saw the show in Milw. Hubert Sumlin was the guest. Great show, but "fans" were pissed the rest of RS didn't show up, so they trashed the Arena (we missed this foolishness). This resulted in Ronnie having doing a benefit show as part of the settlement which was, to put it mildly, a loose affair at the same hall where Springsteen's bomb scare show took place. If you imbibing, there's a good chance those beverages will need to come out. Thurs. night worked perfectly. One of my least favorite song if You Got Me Rockin' which was played after the Stones barge drifted out into the audience. Well into the show and the facility was a few steps away. Hope it's that easy in Chi. tonight.

Probably try the Guinness Oyster Fest in the afternoon and get down to Soldier Field around 4. If the show ends around 10:30, we may run to The Hideout to continue our little soiree with The Deadstring Brothers, a (surprise, surprise) band who has more than a passing resemblance to Beggar's RS.
