looks like, so far, hold back is winning (if that's the right word). sweethearts together, rock & a hard place, and emotional rescue seem to be frequent vote-getters as well. but the polls are still open, so maybe a darkhorse 'winner' will emerge... drew

as much as i love the world's greatest rock and roll band, i can safely say there are a few songs they've recorded that i can do without. i would like to start a thread that explores stones fans' LEAST favorite tracks. i'll start. in reverse chronological order, they are streets of love stealing my heart hold back memory motel have you seen your mother, baby... w

this is an interesting thread, because it shows how varied opinions are, even among die-hard stones fans. there is no right or wrong when it comes to rating stones albums ... just individual opinions. still, i've noticed that a lot of people on this board are hoping 'a bigger bang' will be the next 'exile on main street'. at the same time, a lot of people seem to re

T&A, i couldn't agree more. 'blue' is such a great track. ironically, the lyrics seem to be a rejection of the blues ... jagger saying that blue is not his color, etc.. but it blows away everything on GITD, except IMO for 'joy.' why 'blue' was not included is a mystery... drew

i've seen references in this post to health problems of some of the stones. charlie had that horrible cancer scare a few years ago, but has keith had health problems (besides that injury from the tumbe he took off the ladder years ago)? drew

i agree that the stones music w/ mick taylor was very special. shine a light is a great track. however, IMHO, i think the tracks that best show off taylor's virtuosity are NOT on exile, e.g.: can't you hear me knocking winter time waits for no one through the lonely nights absolutely amazing guitar work. one gripe i have about exile is that taylor's guitar is, for the mo

does anybody know what blues song we see the stones rehearsing on the 'four flicks' dvd? its lyrics go something like this: you better leave that man alone. you keep carryin' on that way, baby, you gonna lose your happy home. watching them rehearse this track, i immediately fell in love with it. to make it even more special, jagger plays harp on it. i was really hoping it
