Bill is probabably the most fit (musically, mentally and physically) of all of them to do a tour. It just depends on if he is invited and if he wants to do it.

of course they should tour. What would we all do otherwise?

Just came back from Germany. The Dessau gig was fantastic. As Andreas said, very relaxed. Long solos. Charlie smiled ear to ear for much of the concert. He and Dave Green were very tight, Charlie watching closely Dave's fingers, they were less than a meter from each other, so the drums and bass were locked very closely. Amazing experience.

QuoteRedhotcarpet QuoteRobertJohnson QuoteMathijs From a technical point of view of guitar playing Taylor is not that great. He is a rather old fashioned player with quite standard three-finger technique. He isn't overly fast, he isn't flashy or anything. And, Taylor is a lead player, with not too much rhythm skills. In that respect Wood always has had a better technique than Taylor.

Keith obviously doesn't like Bill, and the book makes it clear. Conversely, Bill doesn't like Keith. During almost every gig of Bill there is a sarcastic comment about Keith. It is mutual and there is nothing wrong with it.

I agree that the current situation has nothing to do with Keith's book. That's ridiculous, things have been bad for decades. Mick may indeed not want to tour with the Stones anymore, but not because of the book.

Apart from his contribution to the Stones, I like Bill's post-Stones music. He plays what he likes, with fabulous musicians who get on well with each other, it's fun, and he certainly does not do it for money. He helps keeping the roots of "our" music alive, because he loves it.

Mick T. is going downhill, unfortunately. The few times I saw him in the last 2 years, incl. 100 Club and Ambassador, he looked uncomfortable at the stage. As much as I love him, he would not do much good to the Stones anymore. Bill W. is something different. He has aged really well, his playing is great, and he would fit perfectly.

Amazing. Derek Trucks (and Robert Randolph) played in Shepherds Bush last night, one of the best gigs I have ever attended. Incredible playing.

Ronnie attended Bob Dylan's concert in Finsbury Park last night, placed in a boot on the side of the stage. Btw Dylan was in fine form.

I also think this is the core. The announcement of a Stones gig as "Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones" is another example.

the CD says Ronny on guitar & vocals and Keith vocals only. Ben Waters went to NYC to record Keith's part. The sleeve note by Ben Waters is really nice.

Got the CD yesterday. Listened to it several times. It is great. Very happy music. Worried life blues is probably the best thing Ronny and Keith recorded together in the last 20 years. The whole album hangs together very nicely.

This is slightly off topic: I saw Ben Waters again on 10 March, one day after the Ambassador gig, playing for no more than 50 people in St Albans. In the interval I congratulated him about the Ambassador concert. While he was obviously very pleased how well it went on the big day, he said that he was still enjoying playing the small places, such as St Albans, and I think he really meant it. He an

QuoteWorriedAboutYou Sorry but Hucknall sounds horrible in those clips. He was actually very good live. At some points, he held the mic far away and you could hear him "naturally", and it was very impressive. I thought he did an excellent job.

The second show was fantastic (did not see the first one). It built up nicely, from acoustic pianos up to a full band with two guitars, two saxophones, to bass players, 3 pianos and vocal. Mick Taylor was much better focused than in 100 club, played some great solos. Ronny great as always. Bill enjoyed it, I saw him given autographs on the street between the shows. Charlie who normally makes an

Great gig! It really got going when Ronnie joined in, he looked great, played great, seemed to enjoy himself and was clearly the star of the night. Obviously he can carry a band. Mike T. looked a bit lost at times. Chris Barber was fitted beautifully. They should do these things more often!

What did you expect? A sermon? The book is a great read. Excellent writing, a differnt plane than Woody's. Who cares how much of it is truth? And who knows? You? Certainly not me.

I saw only the 2nd show, fantastic. I asked the sound guys how the two shows compared, and they said that the 2nd gig was by far the better one. Is there somebody here who saw both gigs? what do you think?
