It sounds messy, poppy and slick. Almost Hear You Sigh is far more better, that one is a real Stones-song. Streets Of Love is Mick solo... not Stones-worthy. It's dissappointing. And Mick did not make any different ballad since Goddess, they all sound the same (sound, melody, mix, vocals). Till after Bridges To Babylon every Stones-ballad stood on his own, had his own sound etc.

I like Suck On The Jugular a lot... what a funky song. Jump On Top Of Me, The Storm, So Young and I'm Gonna Drive are all outstanding outtakes and the minute I heard the first of them I wondered why they didn't put them on an official album. In that case Voodoo Lounge would have had 19 outstanding songs (well, Moon Is Up could have been left out for me).

Gazza: Thanks. In the end everything is personal preference! Where The Boys Go is great... it rolls and it rocks! Everytime I put on that album once in a while I also repeat this song!

Well Gazza, in that case i must like every so-called filler :-)! Gazza: "I wouldnt necessarily define that as being "a real fan". Thats being a completist." You are right, I didn't mean it like this. More like: if they have great material then I like that to be released. I understand that the 'real' fan, as i mentioned, would like the Stones to get ba

Sorry, didn't mean to offend anyone T&A. Luckily I haven't heard of Josh then (yet)! Of course everyone here is a (real) fan otherwise one wouldn't take the effort to write on this board. Anyway, in the case of Baby Break It Down I cannot imagine this would've been used as a B-side on a single (say on I Go Wild or something) instead of being put on the album. I agre

I think none of the songs released on official albums are fillers. You like 'em or you don't. I mean, I can't imagine the Stones putting an album together with 2 or 3 songs as fillers on it, with the purpose just to make a fullfilled album. That's just bullshit (sorry). They record a number of songs during each albumsession and then they put, from their view, the best songs o

Live Licks is a great live album. I personally like disc 2 the most (Neighbours, Monkey Man, Can't You Hear Me Knocking, etc etc). Street Fighting Man on Disc 1 is a killer to me! But I don't like Gimme Shelter and You Can't Always Get What You Want cause I know better versions of them released in the past. Anyway, I can imagine some dissapointments about the album cause most of t

About Tumbling Dice live compared to the original studio Exile version: I always miss that driving rhythm part which is played directly from after the introriff from Keith. This is why I always doubt everytime they play it live whether i like it or not. I must say I like the 1995 live-version on the B-side of the single Wild Horses. Great work from Ronnie, but still I miss the constant and dr
