QuoteRockman Thx Rockman! There is no Street Fighting Man, You Gotta Move or Jumping Jack Flash on the vinyl, would love to hear those (I didn't realize they were playing You Gotta Move live then) .. I'll start tracking down that CD (is it a CD?) for the car

QuoteRank Stranger According to my notes, the vinyl has speed problems and suffers from wow and flutter. So a vinyl rip should be useless. Get the DAC bootleg here: Thanks for this! .. Yes there is some warblely sped up sound.. However I've been spinning it non-stop since acquiring and I don't really hear it anymore

Quotediverseharmonics One of the great boots of all time--an excellent show from '69...probably top five of the tour. Listen to it frequently. My copy doesn't have any tape warble or sound problems. Impossible to name a favorite boot out of thousands. So if your copy doesn't have tape warble does that mean copies have been struck at different times over the years? Not sure ho

Just picked this up at a local shop (I've gotten 3 Stones' boots on vinyl here in the Shoals, took me years to come across them in the big city, guess the country is where to go) First time I've heard this and it's become a favorite -- Mostly cuz I love hearing the guy in the audience yell stuff between songs AND the crowd singing along with Satisfaction is great! My que

Kansas City 2015 Zip Code was both my best and worst show. Guess those two negate each other and make it a medium show.. So, hmm, next choice would be...Buffatroitville 2015?

QuoteShawn20 I've mentioned this before - but I had the pleasure of showing Rick Hall the movie - "Gimme Shelter." He and his wife loved the Muscle Shoals' scenes. He swears Jimmy and the Swampers stole the Stones from him. It was fascinating watching him watch the movie. He was totally mesmerized. Love it! .. You may already know this but Johnny Depp's company is no

QuoteCristiano Radtke Thanks a lot for the W.C. Handy photo, snoopy2! You're welcome! So, interestingly, the "Rolling Stones stayed here while recording in Muscle Shoals" plaque is now missing. The steel post that it was mounted on has been cut, leaving me to wonder if someone boosted it rather than the city moving it somewhere (wouldn't they just dig up the entire post?

Thank you BV! I certainly wish (as many of us do) I'd been able to have the Stones touring experiences you have had.. Until 2015 I'd only seen them once (81), and I was forever grateful for that! But then again, if we all had your touring experiences it would be boring and there would be not much to talk about And your Keith pic is one of my favorite ever

QuoteMisterDDDD Quotesarahunwin I don't care where in the stadium, I just don't see how you could sit through a Rolling Stones concert! Exactly. Love this band!!! Caught 6 shows during Zip Code tour, only place people sat was Raleigh, don't know if they thought it was being polite or what.. I stayed standing but those around me were chatting, sitting and texting

It's what you're into. I've read many of these and my personal favorite is Wyman's Stone Alone because I like the detail of all those early shows, and seeing how they perfected who they were by playing live way more than many current bands do (unless posting on youtube counts as playing live). On the other hand Life seems to be crowd favorite, and though I enjoyed it, it wa

Drove up yesterday to see it in Nashville.. Looks like there's many posts on this subject, and I haven't read them all, so apologies if I'm repeating what everyone else said. Enjoyed it overall, and bought the pass so will return to re-visit my favorite parts which were: Seeing the original mock-up for Big Hits High Tide & Green Grass (my first Stones album as a kid); Playin

QuoteBluzDude Nice one Snoopy.... ....I must say, that when I was in Nashville I guess about 10 years back, I really enjoyed exploring that building behind you (I assume that's you) - and I'm not even that big of a country music fan. Yes, it is I.. You may have visited the Country Music Hall Of Fame? There are actually a couple different hall of fames in Nashville, the one behind

Annnnnnnnd, here's W.C. Handy, "Father of the blues" statue in downtown park. He was from this area and you can visit his home/cabin he grew up in nearby. Hard to say who really is the father (or mother) of the blues, but it is safe to say I was introduced to them all because of the Stones.

Drove up to Nashville yesterday to check out the venue. Apparently there are at least five tongues around town, we only saw this one, but in our defense, have you tried to drive around Nashville -- "It City" -- these days!

QuoteBluzDude QuoteStonesSoCal Thank you! Can't wait for opening night! It can be frustrating, especially being up at 2AM trying to get through. I've had the same issues as you. I got thru using a visa....but now I'm set for my 3 shows (also in SoCal) Feel a bit better hearing similar frustrations.. Thought I was the only American who couldn't figure out how to conduct bus
