QuoteNaturalust Unlike some here, I'm not countin' the Stones out when it comes to releasing new material. But it seems like both Keith and Mick might feel that the Stones is not the best vehicle to give wheels to their new songs. Keith and Micks writing may have diverged to the point that they find it hard to compliment each other's new stuff. Mick want's SuperHeavy, Keith wa

Quoteflilflam It could easily be argued that the Stones and U2 are the two top competitors in the rock and popular music industry, based on record sales, attendance at live concerts, revenue from concerts, and popularity polls. U2 recently released a number of new songs on this CD, to critical acclaim. Yet the Stones are unable, unwilling, or unable to create and release a CD of all new mate

QuoteOutOfTime I was looking for the thread about the new songtitles I read this afternoon and found it here. A bit confusing. Maybe it would be better to change the title of Subject so a lot more people would be intersted in the thread.

Going through the lots of an auction of RW items on www.the-saleroom.com, see another thread, I noticed two handwritten lists by RW with songtitels the Stones were working on in 1985 and 1993-4. Some of them I never heard of... The 1985 list includes: Hold On Talk Is Cheap Serious Beside You Careless Love My Kind Of Rubbish Try To Tell Myself Loving You Is Sweeter.... Can't Cut

Quoterocker1 QuoteNaturalust One only has to look at how much the Stones changed without him to see how important he was to the band. I often wonder what the difference would be in today's Stones if he was still around. I always though Stu and Charlie were paired souls, friends away from the music and both unconcerned about stardom and rock and roll lifestyle. One of the best Stu interv

: Melting The Beatles Hey Jude's Nanananana into Sympathy For The Devil was a sort of tongue in cheek goodbye to The Beatles who were disbanding at the time 1969-70, a tribute so to speak. They did the same more or less during Satisfaction in NYC, MSG in 2006 (jan.20) when Mick added Mustang Sally lyrics in memory of Wilson Picket who passed away and also for Don Covay (can't remember

Thanks for remembering hot stuff, I always forget the exact dates but always know STU is a legend in THE ROLLING STONES story and thus in modern music history. He will never be forgotten by real good time boogie woogie musiclovers.

QuoteRockman Incredible so few who knows that this show was released officially in 2012. YEP!!! that ape sure scared alotta folks off ....... Not only that ape but maybe also the price of The Super De Luxe edition of Grrr! that includes this 7"inch vinyl EP which I played once since buying it in 2012 made this obscure for younger Stonesbelievers. All that is no excuse for not knowi

Wasn't there also a rumor of control room footage of the undercover sessions being in the hands of collectors? The mind boggles. QuoteThe Worst. Jumpin' Jack Flash from Beacon Theatre 2006. Justin: "Very cool clip..wonder how the uploader got this footage"? This was officialy released as an extra bonus on the Shine A Light collectors edition. Jumping Jack Flash with multi-angle viewing options. Just like Monkey Man from MSG 2002 on the Four Flicks Box.

QuoteLadykiller QuoteMore Hot Rocks Why the metal sign? I don't get it. This sign \m/ means "Rock On". People use it not only in metal concerts, also in other rock shows. Correct. The Stones tongue means the same I think. "Kisz My arse you stupids who don't believe". We have the right to rock and roll our life away. Sympathy For The Devil Baby ><
