Not a Queen fan, but there is no doubt that Freddie was a magnetic frontman. The Mrs does like Queen so we went to see it. If we were being polite, we would describe it as somewhat lightweight. If we weren't being polite, we would describe it as s**t.

QuoteDandelionPowderman This is probably the best one, playing-wise. Would have liked to hear it in the late 60s/early 70s, though, with the gear and the equipment they used back then. Nonsense...... Clean, crisp and plodding. Just like everything else on that tour. As much as I loved it at the time, being a kid, and a new fan and all, with hindsight I realise that this is The karaoke v

After watching their performance on a U.S chat show called Jimmy Fallon. I'll go further. They are the worst band I have heard for a long time. The singer is hilarious. However, we live in a time where Ed Sheeran (Great guy) can sell stadiums out night after night, so who knows, Greta might be huge......

If you like this band you know you have awful taste. They're terrible. I thought they were some kind of piss-take Zep tribute group when I first heard them. Great name for a band though........

For me The Stones are, and always have been Jagger, Keith and Charlie. As great as other members have been, they can leave, and as long as you have those three you still have The Stones. Without one of them you don't........

Quotetomk If I remember the story correctly, Keith's original was a prototype which was later stolen or lost, and the replacements were not as good. I've had two Silhouettes , and I think they're excellent guitars, the one's like KR and Wood used. I've always thought KR was attracted to it because the neck is similar to the Dan Armstrong. You're correct Tom.... Ke

Ladies and Gentlemen....... Twickenham is one absolute dirty bastard of a venue, and the last time we were there for a gig we promised ourselves that we would never go back to that sorry excuse of a shithole ever again. How they even get a licence to put on a major event with that station in the state that it is is beyond me. Perhaps it might be different this time we told ourselves. Was it bollo

As soon as I heard Izzy and Adler were not involved I knew this comeback was 95% about cash, and that's when I decided to give it a miss. When a band does a tour for mostly nothing more than money, it's not gonna go well, and judging by the comments from people I know who went to both Berlin and Donnington, it's a tragic parody of what was once a good band. Shame......

QuoteKurt Quotedcba QuoteMathijs from 1988 until about 1992 Guns were far bigger than the Stones. Mathijs Are you sure the 91-92 UYI tour sold more tickets than the SW/UJ tour? Are you sure G&R played bigger places and booked more shows than the Stones? I'm not too sure of this. Take L.A. : the Stones sold out the Coliseum four times in 1989. G&R sold out the much smaller F

I think that GNR left it way to late in the day to come back. I think that even their biggest fan will agree that their return was not greeted with the fanfare they expected. Tickets were not hard to come by, and the response in the press has been muted at best. It's all been a bit Meh. A bit of a damp squib. There's no denying that.... As this is a Stones forum, lets compare it to w

A massive thumbs up to Ed Sheeran and others like him that care about their fans. The word is integrity, Something The Stones lack when it comes to such things...... I may not rate the mans music that much, but Ed is obviously a lovely bloke. If only all artists carried the same morals he does.

Quotebobo QuoteWild Slivovitz It's been a great gig indeed. I'm surprised to read so much negativity about it. I totally loved it (Just Midnight Rambler was maybe a little slow.). And as usually most of the negative comments and opinions are from people who weren't at the gig That certainly seems to be the truth. It is very encouraging to hear that the band is in fine form from the people who actually attended the show. People that I know who were there confirm everything that people have posted here. Quoteroller99 They shut off all the freaking cell towers, or they block periscope. Friday I'm coming armed. Great show, Keith was on fire, you could hear Darryl, Mick tore it up. I'm a West Ham season ticket holder and the lack of a mobile phone signal within the stadium is a massive problem for people on certain networks. QuoteBungo On the subject of Neil's periods of "lazy song-writing" I couldn't agree more. I recently listened to On The Beach and Zuma. To call some of these songs "filler" would be too kind. There's some real shite in there. I could write better lyrics than some of that crap. Ragged Glory and some of his early material does it for me. On The Beach is wittout
