QuoteSpud QuoteStonedRambler But yeah, some of his mixes are horrible (like Copacabana or VL Uncut) VL Uncut is appalling... ...sounds like it was recorded on a Dictaphone outside the stadium, transferred to cassette tape and then mastered from a fourth generation copy ! Ithink it has too much bass and middle, usually I turn donwn the bass a lot and some of the middle, turn up the v

QuoteVoodooLounge13 Well thanks, angee. I am most certainly taking a beating 'round here!!! I get I'm in the minority with HD, but I don't begrudge anyone who loves ER, U, SG, the early 60's stuff, and B&L. Most of the time I don't even respond, but IDK I feel like I'm not allowed to not like HD!!!! SOME thing is missing for me. What that is IDK, but it lack

QuoteMathijs QuoteRobertJohnson QuoteMuddyw Now let's hope it is mixed decent, like the Mocambo Live, and it won't sound anything like Live Licks or Four Flicks. There is something off on those. Yes, El Mocambo is mixed decent, but actually it deserves a brilliant mixing like Side 3 of Love You Live. It's a mystery to me why they didn't use the mixing template from the 70s.

I remember getting both Sticky and Exile cassettes during a high school trip to Argentina when I was 16 back in 1995.I will never forget the tall brunette argentinian young woman in the small record store in Bariloche with brown eyes and black leather jacket . And that smile as she handed me my Exile copy...Boy was I blown away. Still have them and love their warm sound

QuoteNellcote1971 I don't like the Universal at all, the Virgin is quite good (but not on the same level as the Exile Virgin CD imo) and I don't really know the CBS that well. For me - same as with the Exile Artisan cut - everything changed after I got my hands on a UK TML LP... Really intrigued about the Virgin Exile .
